Appetite awareness can be a complex concept to introduce & explore with our clients, particularly given the cultural narratives around hunger, fullness, food, eating and bodies.
Build skills & confidence with this short course which will step you through each stage you might cover with your clients, from concepts to practice. We'll dig into some of the tripping points of each step, and I'll offer some tips on navigating some of the trickier discussions we may have.

- Recordings you can come back to, whenever you like to refresh on any of these ideas, concepts and practices.
Module 3: Food Cues
It is incredibly common that people struggle with cycles of shame, blame, guilt and self criticism when it comes to their food and eating behaviours. These are the people we might meet in our office, desperate to change their body, change their mind, change their feelings or all of the above.
The truth is, we've got it the wrong way around, and until we can understand - and have compassion for - our experiences which lead to long-standing patterns, it's difficult to disengage and change our relationships with food, eating and our body.
Internal and external cues can be powerful mechanisms by which we humans make a million decisions every day. Learn how to support your clients to decode cues, and develop new ways to relate to their own experiences.
This course includes:
- 5 separate sections, stepping you through starting the conversation, digging into complexity and developing "sticky" skills to enhance long-term change.
- Over 1 hour of recorded content to go back and listen to whenever you like
- 4 downloadable worksheets and inquiries you can use in practice right away
After this course you will leave with:
- Enhanced confidence in having conversations about internal and external food cues
- A clearer understanding of how to navigate clients from a place of blame and shame to kindness & care
- Skills in supporting people to relate to their own experiences with non judgement
